History at Home: Huron’s Black Settlers

May 14 @ 3:30 pm - 4:15 pm

FREE
Take a trip to the past from the comfort of your own home! Hear about one family’s journey to Huron County and beyond. The James family were early settlers in Grey Township: follow their story from Loyalist communities in Nova Scotia, to black refugee settlements in southwestern Ontario, to the Huron District.

Join us for this live, interactive discussion with the Huron County Museum & Historic Gaol’s Curator of Engagement & Dialogue. Approximately 25 minute presentation/introduction (depending on questions) to gaol escapes with opportunity for further questions and answers at end.
