Movies at the Museum: Beans

In celebration of The Ribbon Skirt Project exhibit, all are welcome to join us for the screening of the film Beans.
Beans is a 2020 Canadian drama film directed by filmmaker Tracey Deer. It explores the 1990 Oka Crisis at Kanesatake, which Deer lived through as a child, through the eyes of Tekehentahkhwa (nicknamed “Beans”), a young Mohawk girl whose perspective on life is radically changed by these events.
Pre-registration is required because of capacity limits. No ticket purchase is required with pre-registration. Upon arrival, movies are included with regular admission to the museum, free for museum members, or free/by donation with your Huron County Library card. Mask are required and we ask that if you are not feeling well, please visit another time.
