Multilingual Movie Night: Night Raiders

Multilingual Movie Nights celebrate the many languages spoken in Huron County with a film and free refreshments. All films to be screened in their original language(s) with English subtitles. Multilingual movie nights are the second Thursday of each month in the museum theatre this fall & winter.

No purchase is required to pre-register via Eventbrite. Upon arrival, movie nights are included with regular admission to the museum, free for museum members, or free/by-donation with your Huron County Library card. Pre-registration ends one hour before event. Walk-ins welcomed as capacity allows. Pre-registration guarantees your spot and helps us to provide adequate refreshments.

Snacks served at 6:45. Movie to begin promptly at 7:00 pm. Refreshments available while they last! Follow us on social media for snack announcements. Please note that films may not be appropriate for all audiences; a rating has been provided when possible. If you are not feeling well, please visit us another time.

Details: The true story of how a sewer worker’s agreement to hide Jewish families for pay turned into a harrowing months-long effort to save their lives in Nazi-occupied Poland.

Details: Oscar-winner for Best Picture, this film from acclaimed director Bong Joon Ho mixes social commentary, black comedy and drama as it follows a poor Seoul family scheming their way into the employ of a wealthy couple.

Title: Neerja (2016)

Details: A tense and moving thriller about the heroic real-life actions of Neerja Bhanot during a deadly1986 plane hijacking. Includes a career-best performance from Bollywood actress Sonam Kapoor and a memorable supporting role by the acclaimed Shabana Azmi.

Details: Two new mothers forge an unexpected bond when they share a delivery room. International star Penelope Cruz gives an Oscar-nominated performance in this film by Pedro Almodóvar.
