Multilingual Movie Nights are back! Celebrate the many languages spoken in Huron County with movie nights in 2022. Enjoy a subtitled film in the museum theatre with a complimentary snack and hot beverage sourced locally.

Pre-registration required because of capacity limits. No ticket purchase is required with pre-registration.  Upon arrival, movie nights are included with regular admission to the museum, free for museum members, or free/by-donation with your Huron County Library card. Proof of vaccination required for visitors over 12 and active screening required. Face coverings required except when eating. If you are not feeling well, please visit another time.

Vaccine check starts at 6:30 & snacks served at 6:45. Movie to begin promptly at 7:00 pm. Snacks & drinks available while they last! Listed snacks may be subject to change based on availability at the time.

All films to be screened in their original language(s) with English subtitles. Please note ratings, as some films are not recommended for younger audiences.

Oscar-winner for Best Picture, this film from acclaimed director Bong Joon Ho mixes social commentary, black comedy and drama as it follows a poor Seoul family scheming their way into the employ of a wealthy couple. Screened with dumplings & green tea

 Winter in Wartime

Language: Dutch   Rating: 14A      Runtime: 103 Minutes

In this acclaimed film from the Netherlands, a young boy in occupied Holland faces danger when he saves the life of a British soldier near the end of the Second World War.  Screened with hot cocoa and Dutch sweets.

A Bollywood entertainer complete with songs: a father guides his son through a crisis by remembering the friendships and misadventures of his days as an engineering student. Screened with samosas & masala chai.

This Belgian/French film looks at the devastation of the Syrian conflict through the experience of one mother’s attempts to provide shelter from the horrors of war within her Damascus apartment. Screened with dawood pasha & tea

Shot on location at Kitigan Zibi. A community is divided by on-reserve alcohol sales and the best paths to self-governance in this recent Quebecois film. Screened with maple sweets & herbal tea.
