Seeking Huron County’s Queer Stories:
The Huron County Museum’s annual mini Community Curators exhibit is an opportunity to reach out to community members and feature community stories that aren’t visibly represented in our permanent exhibits. This year staff are seeking to feature queer experiences & reach out to LGBTQ2S community members including those who have left Huron County but who grew up here or lived here in the past.
The format for this exhibit is flexible: members of the community lend an object, create something or pick an object from the museum’s collection that speaks to them and their story. The items and/or photographs chosen by the Community Curators will be on display up to one year.
The tentative opening date for this year’s exhibit would be June/July 2019.
